The Newfane community is located 35 miles northeast of downtown Buffalo and home to 10,414 residents residing along the shores of Lake Ontario in the Towns of Newfane and Lockport. The community includes a number hamlets including Appleton, Olcott, Burt and Wrights Corners.

The Town of Newfane was incorporated in 1824 and has a long tradition of its friendly and hard working residents attending its schools and growing up together. The town’s small businesses are vibrant and viable.

The district is an anchor of the rural-suburban community. While rural in nature, the community is in close proximity to all of Western New York’s cultural and recreational resources and to many outstanding colleges and universities including Niagara University and the University at Buffalo.

The District seeks an experienced leader with a strong, articulated vision for high quality schooling that provides rich experiences for every student, experience in the facilitation of strategic planning processes that establish District priorities and short/ long-term goals and the ability to implement difficult decisions in the best interests of children. of the principles guiding personnel and financial management and capital project development and facilitation.
